Below, we run through our speaker list (Part 1), ahead of FinTech LIVE London 2024. 

Samina Hussain-Letch

As Executive Director at Square UK, Samina Hussain-Letch oversees the company's commercial operations and manages crucial industry relationships. She serves on the Square UK Ltd board as a Director, with responsibility for overseeing the UK business.

Prior to her role at Square UK, Samina spent eight years at Visa, where she held various leadership positions, including Head of Loyalty Solutions. She is deeply committed to Inclusion and Diversity initiatives and, during her time at Visa, founded the Women in Leadership Too programme.

Jakob Pethick, Chief Commercial Officer at YouLend

Jakob Pethick

Jakob Pethick became part of YouLend in 2019 and stepped into the position of Chief Commercial Officer the following year. His responsibilities encompass overseeing YouLend's expansion, profitability, product innovation, and operational activities.

Jakob holds both a BA and MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. Before joining YouLend, he gained experience working at Funding Circle UK and Oliver Wyman.

Henrique Di Lorenzo, Vice President of Products at Mollie

Henrique di Lorenzo

Responsible for Mollie’s Financial Services, Henrique Di Lorenzo is Vice President of Products. In his role, Henrique works with his team to develop a new generation of financial products designed to empower digital-first businesses to fuel growth. 

Henrique is experienced in emerging and established markets including Europe, LATAM, the USA, and the Middle East. Before joining Mollie, Henrique led the expansion and performance of the Klarna Card.

Andy Wiggan, Chief Product Officer of GoCardless

Andy Wiggan

Throughout his career, Andy has acquired a range of experience in consumer and digital goods, through working in the subscriptions industry.

As well as this, Andy graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master's Degree in Engineering.

Andy was the Director of Payments at Spotify before joining GoCardless. He led a team of payment operators who managed revenue streams north of 2 billion transactions annually, headed up the payment division and was also in control of the online and offline global payment acceptance strategy and execution.

In addition to this, Andy was also the Direct of Product Engineering and Growth at Paws.com. 

In 2020, Andy joined GoCardless as the Vice President of Product Management and is now the current Chief Product Officer.

Sarah Kocianski, CEO of FinTech Wales

Sarah Kocianksi

With over 10 years of industry experience and a track record of working with startups, scale-ups and global organisations in and out of the financial services industry, Sarah Kocianski is the current CEO of the Welsh champion of the Financial and FinTech Services and independent membership assocation – FinTech Wales. 

Before joining FinTech Wales, Sarah held positions at 11:FS and Founders Factory.

Throughout her career, she has cooperated with fintechs, insurtechs, major banks, healthtechs, e-commerce companies and retailers. 

As well as this, Sarah contributes to Forbes online regularly.

Russell Fisher, COO of Admiral Pioneer 

Russell Fisher

Russell Fisher creates positive contributions by shaping a range of varied and new businesses, to establish long-term value as the current COO of Admiral Pioneer, which is a Corporate Venturing Studio for the Admiral Group. 

In under 18 months, Russell guided investment in nine pre-seed and seed-stage companies, when he was invited to establish and lead a corporate venture capital function for Nationwide. He has also worked within one of the largest global insurance companies by helping to build a new direct to consumer business. 

Previously, he led large sale organisations for telco clients like BT and Sky, which allowed him to start building his career. Russell also assisted companies in transforming and growing their front office capabilities by working as a consultant with Deloitte as digital technologies developed.

Dan Dica, CEO of Lynx Tech

Dan Dica

Dan Dica is the current CEO of Lynx Tech. 

Throughout his career, Dan’s passion for AI, technology, Fraud & Financial Crime and Cybersecurity has been highlighted through his focus on leading and building successful companies.

He is a member on several boards and has experience as an active business advisor across the globe. Dan is also a graduate of Harvard Business School and the post-grad Executive Leadership Program.

Dan led the global revenue growth strategy at OneSpan Inc before joining Lynx. He enhanced his organisational development and strategic leadership skills across 15 years of working for the company, whilst also creating material value for the company and strong teams across the globe.

Throughout his work, Dan ensures his key values of precision and perseverance are sustained, to consistently deliver excellent customer service.

Tamara M. Milne, Chief Digital Officer of Acrisure

Tamara M. Milne, Chief Digital Officer of Acrisure

Throughout her career, Tamara has worked for Brown Brothers Harriman, Oxford Bioscience Partners and State Street, holding a number of leadership positions in these companies.

She was also previously the Executive Vice President and Head of the Restructuring Office for Consumer and Business Banking for Santander North America. Throughout this role, Tamara engaged with Santander’s IT Transformation, Finance and Human Resources and Business Development departments. As well as this, she managed the streamlining and simplification of processes and technical solutions, whilst also running corporate restructuring, operational redesign and digital transformation activities across Santander’s branch network. 

In Tamara’s current role as Chief Digital Officer at Acrisure, she ensures the execution and development of the digital marketplace, optimisation of the range of digital products and digital organic growth of the company remains at the forefront of her work, whilst managing the development of the digital strategy. 

Gareth Wilson, Executive Vice President at Capgemini

Gareth Wilson

Leading the FS SBU UK Banking and Capital Markets business in Capgemini, Gareth Wilson has 28 years of experience in banking and payments as well as delivering large-scale business transformation programmes. Gareth is passionate about building high-performing teams and trusted long-term client relationships. 

Chip Mahan, Global Head Fintech Strategy & Operations at Sage

Chip Mahan

Currently the Global Head of Fintech Strategy and Operations at Sage, Chip Mahan manages a team of subject matter experts in delivering strategic partnerships that provide deeply embedded fintech, payments, and banking services. 

Before joining Sage, Chip worked for First Data, GM, American Express, Bank of America, and the US Government.

Henk Van Hulle, CEO of Open Banking Limited

Henk van Huelle

Appointed CEO in January 2022, Henk Van Hulle was brought in to implement an effective and appropriate governance and management framework for the organisation, and to manage the delivery of the CMA Roadmap and the operations of Open Banking Limited (OBL). 

Henk is experienced in managing profitable, consumer-focused blue chip and start-up firms, including senior roles at Egg PLC, Prudential UK, and Belgian internet bank Beobank.

Nick Corrigan, International President at Global Payments

Nick Corrigan

After developing a background in the technology sector and working within payments for over five years, Nick Corrigan is the International President at Global Payments, managing nearly one million customers and partners across 20 countries. 

Across his career, Nick has worked in several industries including public services healthcare, banking and finance, acquiring experience in both leadership and corporate sales. 

Nick has worked for a range of well- known companies, including hp, Fujitsu and Microsoft UK, where he was a member of the board that managed the consulting and services division. 

Alongside his work, Nick has spent time at Harvard, Boston and Tokyo University to develop his understanding of the industry and enhance his deep interest for leadership and change.

Andrea Reynolds

Andrea Reynolds is the CEO and Founder of Swoop, a global FinTech company. Having over 200,000 direct customers and operations in eight markets globally, Swoop allows SMBs to access every form of cost savings and finance through their data. The company also integrates its technology into partner platforms that exist in their global markets, enhancing collaboration and innovation.

In addition to this, Andrea is also Chair and Board Director of Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance.

Varun Paul, Senior Director and Business Lead for CBDC and Financial Market Infrastructure at Fireblocks

Varun Paul

Varun Paul works at Fireblocks as the Senior Director and Business Lead for CBDC and Financial Market Infrastructure. In his role, he catalyses the integration of secure digital asset custody technology into financial market infrastructures and central banks, as well as propelling their development. 

Throughout his career, Varun has gained experience working in private-sector consulting and public financial policy and has developed a background in financial stability and macroeconomics. 

Varun previously worked in several leadership roles at the Bank of England for nearly 14 years, including Senior Manager for the Future of Finance and Head of the Fintech Hub. During his time at the Bank of England, Varun focused on open data platforms for SME finance, the Bank’s role in fostering innovation and fintech risks while driving strategic initiatives that impact the future of the financial system. 

Olivier Sery, Global Head of Digital Solution Sales at Giesecke+Devrient

Olivier Sery

Olivier Sery is the Global Head of Digitial Solution Sales as Giesecke+Devrient. During his role as Giesecke+Devrient, he has maintained the company’s commitment to the global Paytech market and has enhanced its vision of supporting its customers in reducing fraud, ensuring consistent compliance and permitting new revenue streams.

Throughout his career, Olivier has delivered solutions for Digital Commerce, Automated Clearing House, Banking as a Service and Open Banking, highlighting his vivid passion for payments.
