How is ClearBank Advancing Digital Strategy with Taurus?

ClearBank, a provider of real-time clearing and embedded banking services, has chosen digital asset infrastructure provider Taurus for supporting digital asset services.
Under the strategic agreement, ClearBank will use Taurus’ services to advance its digital asset strategy, with a focus on stablecoins, in a compliant and secure manner.
Additionally, the agreement will see ClearBank integrate Taurus-PROTECT with Circle Mint, the platform by Circle that allows financial institutions to mint and redeem MiCAR-compliant USDC and EURC.
The announcement of the agreement follows the news that ClearBank intends to join the Circle Payment Network.
Taurus season: How will its technology advance stablecoin strategy?
ClearBank clients will benefit from support from Taurus-PROTECT to ensure ClearBank’s strategy is encompassed in a secure, compliant and scalable manner.
Calling itself the bank built for gamechangers, ClearBank is currently strategising with stablecoins in mind.
Stablecoins have risen in popularity over the last 6 months, with headlines from major institutions such as Visa and Coinbase as legal regulatory frameworks such as the GENIUS Act come into play.
Mark Fairless, ClearBank CEO comments: “As our clients explore digital assets, they expect the same standards of security, resilience, and governance that they receive from our existing services.
“We’re pleased to be working with Taurus-PROTECT, which gives us the robust and compliant digital asset solutions we need.
“This partnership is an important step for ClearBank as we bring new, innovative services to our clients and help shape the future of payments.”
Inner mechanisms behind Taurus-PROTECT
Taurus’s end-to-end digital asset infrastructure platform includes Taurus-PROTECT.
Taurus-PROTECT encompasses banking-grade security with state-of-the-art MPC algorithms for security.
Additionally, it covers a wide range of digital assets: cryptocurrencies, including staking, tokenised securities and digital currencies.
There is also an opportunity for Taurus-PROTECT to be deployed in different operating models to meet operational and regulatory needs.
Lamine Brahimi, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Taurus explains that the company’s position is to support ClearBank’s financial mission: “We are delighted that ClearBank has chosen Taurus-PROTECT as the foundation for its digital asset solution capabilities.
“ClearBank is recognised as an innovator in payments and clearing, and we look forward to supporting them as they modernise cross-border finance.”
Cross-border finance: how is ClearBank realising its mission?
In late 2025, the Amsterdam and London-based financial institution announced it was the first in Europe to connect to Circle’s blockchain infrastructure.
This allowed for the integration of MiCA-compliant stablecoins into the banking infrastructure of ClearBank.
It also announced that joining the Circle Payments Network would allow it to better access other financial institutions through blockchain technology.
The network enables the global settlement of stablecoin transactions without any time constraints.
Transactions are carried out on a public blockchain, boosting financial transparency.
The company has continued to expand into international territory after David Samper joined as CFO in 2025.
David said at the time: “ClearBank’s reputation for technological innovation, best-in-class regulatory compliance and a strong growth strategy makes it one of the most exciting financial services businesses to be a part of.
“I’m delighted to be joining at such a pivotal time and look forward to supporting the next phase of growth in the UK and abroad.”
