UK Fintech Week aims to promote innovation, collaboration and openness
Monday marks the first day of UK fintech week, a week developed to celebrate the UK’s place in the financial technology sphere.
On the first day of the event, Innovate Finance, FinTech Scotland and FinTech North have formed a national network to encourage innovators up and down the country to connect and form multiple fintech hubs and centres of excellence.
While London is known for its fintech prowess, FinTech Scotland and FinTech North have been established to make sure fintech development is supported beyond just the capital.

The aim of UK Fintech Week is to promote innovation, openness and collaboration in the fintech industry, with this year’s theme: “fintech’s value and purpose to society”.
A week long series of events will debate important issues surrounding fintech as well as celebrating the UK’s position in the fintech world.
It has been announced that the Manchester summit will include Amir Nooriala, COO of OakNorth, Ian Dixon, Head of North West at Access2Finance and Sue Bernard, North West Senior Manager at British Business Bank.
