Following the launch of FinTech Magazine’s Top 100 Women in FinTech 2024 supplement, we honour the Top 10 entrants based in APAC

In March 2024, FinTech Magazine recognised International Women’s Month with the launch of our Top 100 Women in Fintech supplement, championing female leaders and pioneers driving innovation across our industry. 

In this Top 10, we highlight the leading Women in Fintech based in the Asia Pacific, shining a light on their incredible careers, the work they perform for leading financial organisations and how they help foster APAC regions in becoming leading fintech/finserv hubs

10. Ouiza Bechar

Ouiza Bechar, Allianz

Chief Digital Officer of Allianz, Ouiza Bechar, has built a successful career over the last 20 years, working for AXA, INSEAD, AIG, and Prudential Corporation Asia. Based in Singapore, Ouiza rose through the ranks at Allianz, first joining as Head of Digital Operations in 2019 before taking the position of Head of Digital Distribution, Customer Experience, Partnership & Direct in 2020 before assuming her current role in 2022. 

9. Daphne Ng

Daphne Ng, Dedoco

The founder of Dedoco, Daphne Ng has built an entrepreneurial career specialising in corporate banking, technology and blockchain. Her platform, Dedoco, which she also leads as CEO, is a fast-growing data trust platform for digital workflows, providing users with evidence linkage and verification across documents. First becoming an entrepreneur in 2017, Daphne spent her formative career specialising in structured trade and commodities across international banks.

8. Alice Chen

Alice Chen, InvestaX

Co-founder and General Counsel and InvestaX, Alice Chen, has helped lead the tokenisation SaaS platform for over nine years. Turning to entrepreneurship after more than 15 years of practicing corporate and real estate law, the Singapore-based Alice also sits on the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA). Speaking on her inclusion in the Top 100 Women in FinTech supplement, she says: “This recognition goes beyond an individual achievement but our entire team's relentless dedication to innovating, advocating for inclusivity, and transforming the financial sector on a global scale.”

7. Natasha Bangsgopaul

Natasha Bangsopaul, VegaX Holdings

A leading financial services leader, Natasha Bansgopaul is passionate about technology for change and breaking down existing barriers in financial services. She delivers this as Co-founder and COO of VegaX Holdings, the South Korean Digital Asset Management firm providing investors with one-stop access to investment products for digital assets. She continues innovating to this day, with active advisory passion projects in blockchain, CPG innovation and entertainment and media. 

6. Martha Sazon

Martha Sazon, GCash

With over 20 years of experience in general management, marketing and sales, and over 10 years in senior management positions, Martha Sazon is one of APAC’s leading women in fintech. As President and CEO of GCash, Martha specialises in business transformation, turn-around, innovation strategy and customer insight. Before leaving GCash, she spent over 11 years working in telecommunications, rising to become SVP of Broadband Business at Global Telecom. 

5. Tanya Green

Tanya Green, Till Payments

Tanya Green is the Chief Customer Officer at Till Payments. An experienced customer experience and marketing professional, Tanya has had a career working with Australia’s biggest brands. In her role at Till Payments, Tanya ensures customer satisfaction across the 500 cities of Till services globally. The fintech delivers omnichannel payment processing and services facilities, and is dubbed ‘the payments system behind the payments system”. 

4. Paroma Chatterjee

Paroma Chatterjee, Revolut

Paroma Chatterjee is the CEO of Revolut India, one of the leading neobanks worldwide. A seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the Indian banking sector, Paroma is responsible for driving business and revenue growth for large-scale businesses across telecom, ecommerce and financial services industries. Leading the charge for Revolut in India, Paroma has been at the helm of bespoke financial offerings for the Indian market, driving the diversification of Revolut with products tailored to local markets.

3. Hooi Ling Tan

Hooi Ling Tan, Grab

Having worked for McKinsey and Salesforce, as well as being on the board of Wise, a member of the Singapore Economic Development Board, and the National University of Singapore, Hooi Ling Tan is one of the leading executives in the financial services industry today. Based in Singapore, Hooi is the Co-founder of Grab, the local super app bringing together a suite of services from deliveries to mobility, and financial services to enterprise. She helps drive Grab’s common goal, to drive Southeast Asia forward by creating economic empowerment for all. 

2. Miranda Ratajski

Miranda Ratajski, Westpac

As Chief Information Officer for Group Business Units at Westpac, Miranda Ratajski leads the strategy for the bank's HR, finance, operations, property, risk, procurement and customer solutions. With over 30 years of experience in the finance sector, as well as in governmental roles and telecom, Miranda has a proven track record of delivering full-scale, complex business transformations to generate value for customers and employees. With a passion for data and innovation, Miranda is driven to deliver greater diversity and sustainability while fostering a people-obsessed culture. 

1. Betty Tanevska

Betty Tanevska, Commonwealth Bank

Betty Tanevska is the Executive Director of Funds Management, Institutional Banking and Markets at Commonwealth Bank. Having dedicated the past 17 years of her career to the financial organisation, Betty is now responsible for managing large client relationships, portfolio exposures, returns and lending transactions. With a focus on delivering value-enhancing solutions to clients through deep strategic engagement, Betty has proven success in leveraging Commonwealth Bank’s capabilities across lending, syndications, trade, FX, transaction banking and deposits. Coined a ‘cultural carrier’ by Commonwealth Bank, Betty has a track record of developing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suite. Capable of bringing to life high-level concepts and strategic projects, Betty is our number one entry for fintech’s leading women in APAC.
