Money20/20 USA 2023 saw the leading lights of financial services come together in Las Vegas to connect and offer key insights into the future of fintech.
Onbe: Modernising payments strategies

For Monson, the payment experience is growing ever more important, particularly for consumers who are today championing their experiences over brand loyalty.
She adds: “In our research, 70% of consumers want digital payments, and the three things that are most important to them are speed, convenience, and choice choice above all.
“When we're designing payment experiences, we advise our clients that the days are gone where you can dictate what people are going to want.
"It's about offering choice because you don't know what that demographic is going to prefer and you don't know who's going to be comfortable giving you their bank credentials. So choice and the way those choices are served up is core to what we do.”
Understanding the importance of choice for clients has given Onbe key insight into options for employees – including the value of employee rewards.
Monson continues: “Employee rewards and engagement is no different than many of the other spaces where we see consumers and employees are used to interacting fully through digital experiences.
“We have this work-from-anywhere culture. And so digital employee engagement programmes that offer choice and flexibility make a lot of sense as an offering.
“Today, companies who are dispersing funds and who can offer the same digital experience across channels to their employees as they do their customers are seeing big wins. It makes a lot of sense.”
