Job To LHV - Director of Banking Services

LHV Bank has made a significant move by appointing Mike Goodenough as its new Director of Banking Services. This appointment comes after Goodenough spent six months as a business consultant with the bank, allowing him to gain valuable insights into LHV's operations and strategic goals.

Goodenough brings more than two decades of experience in finance and payments to his new role. His extensive background includes developing and executing strategic and commercial initiatives in senior leadership positions across sales, product and partnership teams within international organisations. This wealth of experience positions him well to drive LHV Bank's growth in the UK and Europe.

In his new capacity, Goodenough will focus on accelerating the growth of LHV's Banking Services business and enhancing product offerings. He will also work on strengthening relationships with clients and partners, leveraging his industry connections and expertise.

Goodenough's appointment comes at a crucial time for LHV Bank. Since receiving authorisation as a credit institution by the Prudential Regulation Authority in May 2023, the bank has experienced significant growth. In its first year as a licensed bank, LHV reported an impressive profit after tax of £6.4m, setting a strong foundation for ambitious development plans in 2024.

The Banking Services division, in particular, has shown remarkable progress. In 2023, it processed a record volume of 47.7 million payments, indicating a robust and growing customer base. Goodenough's leadership is expected to build upon this success and further expand LHV Bank's presence in the competitive financial services landscape.
