Fiserv Fuels Vanquis Bank Digital Transformation

Fiserv has announced a partnership with Vanquis to support the bank's technology transformation programme.
Vanquis, a specialist bank focused on financially underserved customers, will become the first institution to implement Fiserv's Vision Next platform.
Vision Next is a cloud-native processing platform that combines global processing capabilities with integrated services spanning the entire issuing lifecycle.
The platform enables financial institutions to accelerate their digital transformation efforts, respond to changing customer requirements, and deliver configurable services that align with modern market demands.
Cloud architecture supports bank's growth strategy
The implementation forms part of Vanquis's Gateway programme, which aims to establish a scalable digital platform by mid-2026.
This technology foundation is central to the bank's strategy of becoming a digitally-led institution positioned for sustained growth.
“In a world that's always changing, financial institutions have to stay ahead of the curve. Fiserv is redefining financial institutions' capabilities and delivering next-gen solutions with Vision Next,” says Katia Karpova, Head of the EMEA region at Fiserv.
“We are delighted to partner with Vanquis to accelerate its digital transformation and help it meet its customers' evolving needs.”
Long-term partnership extended
The agreement extends an existing relationship between the two organisations that has developed over several years. Vanquis views the implementation of Vision Next as a significant step in its transformation journey.
“We're building real momentum at Vanquis as we transform into a modern, digitally-led bank positioned for long-term, profitable growth,” says Ian McLaughlin, CEO of Vanquis.
“Our Gateway programme will give us a scalable, digital-first platform by mid-2026, and choosing to extend our successful partnership with Fiserv and to integrate its cloud-native, integrated suite of payment solutions is a game-changing step in that journey.”
For Vanquis, the technology upgrade represents a move to enhance services for its 1.69 million customers. The bank specialises in providing financial services to underserved segments of the UK market and maintains headquarters in Bradford.
The adoption of Vision Next is expected to enhance Vanquis's ability to operate in the competitive specialist banking sector, where digital capabilities have become increasingly important for customer acquisition and retention.
Fiserv, a Fortune 500 company, provides financial technology services including account processing, digital banking solutions, card issuer processing, payments, e-commerce, merchant services and its Clover point-of-sale platform.

The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a component of the S&P 500 Index.
Vanquis focuses on financial inclusion through its banking products and its Snoop platform, which helps users reduce household expenditure through spending analysis and recommendations.
The bank positions itself as the largest specialist finance provider for financially underserved customers in the UK market.
The Vision Next implementation represents one of the first deployments of this new platform in the European market, with Fiserv indicating that the technology will help institutions adapt to evolving customer expectations through its flexible architecture.
