Valur Thor Gunnarsson, CEO of Taktikal
Valur Thor Gunnarsson is the CEO and Co-founder of Taktikal, an organisation that strives to allow all businesses to automate their regulatory compliance, onboarding and KYC processes. The organisation has also developed a new no-code solution that creates onboarding processes for fintechs and regulated sectors - SmartFlows.
Valur is also an MIT-certified mentor and a certified board member.
Previously, Valur worked in banking as head of digital channels. In this role, he was in charge of controlling the integration of Electronic ID, mobile banking apps and online banking.
Gerald Pullen, Managing Director of Business Transformation at Concentrix Catalyst
Gerald Pullen is the Managing Director of Business Transformation at Concentrix Catalyst. In his role, Gerald addresses client challenges by implementing many technology-driven solutions.
Before joining Concentrix Catalyst, Gerald worked in various roles that focused on operations leadership, complaint management, extensive customer remediation and customer journey transformation.
Throughout his career, Gerald has developed a proven track record of producing large-scale solutions across many sectors, primarily in regulated and complex environments. In addition to this, he is also an award-winning expert in AI and intelligent automation.
Pawan Udernani, Vice President and Data Tech AI Leader of Financial Services at Genpact
Pawan Udernani has grown into a seasoned leader in the financial services industry and is now the Vice President and Data Tech AI Leader of Financial Services at Genpact.
Throughout his career, Pawan has gained experience across the globe in many areas, including CIO advisory, strategy and consulting, technology sales leadership, commercials and negotiations, CXO leadership, P&L management, partnership and alliances, complex deals in data-tech-AI and digital transformation consulting.
Andrew Robinson, Product Director of Conversational AI Innovation at NatWest Bank
Andrew Robinson is the Product Director of Conversational AI Innovation at NatWest Bank. He joined NatWest six years ago and has worked in Digital Product Innovation roles throughout his career at the company.
Before joining NatWest, Andrew held a number of strategy and digital experience roles in several agencies and consultancies.
During his role now, Andrew explores how new technologies can help improve customer experiences in the Retail Bank and leads AI innovation at NatWest Bank.
Marcin Glogowski, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Europe and UK CEO of Marqeta
As Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Europe and UK CEO of Marqeta, Marcin Glogowski strives to strengthen and maintain the identification of Marqeta as the most innovative payment platform in Europe.
Before joining Marqeta, he spent seven years at PayPal as their General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe. During his time there, he propelled the development of card processing and growth from wallet to gateway.
As well as this, Marcin has worked at Bridgestone, PwC, The Boston Consulting Group and Accenture, allowing him to develop plenty of experience in the corporate industry.
Marcin is driven to consistently propel new revenue growth and breakthrough innovation by collaborating with customers to deliver results.
In addition to this, he also participated in a joint program between London Business School and Warsaw University of Technology and graduated with an MBA in Business Administration. Marcin also holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Warsaw.
Karolina Derwisz is the Senior Director of Visa Sustainability Solutions. During her role, she leads the sustainable solutions Visa has for both consumer and commercial clients. With over 10 years of experience in evolving payment products and services across various regions, she has grown into an innovator in the payments industry.
Throughout her work, Karolina aims to transform how we do and buy business to craft sustainable patterns of consumption that will benefit our planet. She aims to provide pragmatic solutions that secure sustainability into the core of the banking value proposition to shift the status quo and propel user engagement and revenue.
Nick Cowell, Principal of Deloitte Consulting LLP
As a Partner and Strategy Consulting Lead for Banking and Capital Markets at Deloitte, Nick Cowell managed the company’s Strategy Consulting practice for the banking industry and is also involved in the Digital Bank Leadership team. He also propels Deloitte’s affinity banking efforts, concentrating on the intersection of digital banking and financial inclusion.
Nick focuses on value proposition, business and operating model design for retail and business banking.
Throughout his career, Nick has worked with banks of different sizes in Africa, North and Latin America, Asia and Europe, including large multinationals, digital bank startups and regional banking institutions, aiming to help them define their strategy and navigate effectively the path to a digital future.
Before entering the consulting industry, Nick worked at a UK and Swiss-based bank.
David Pontoppidan, Head of Business AI at SAP
David Pontoppidan is the Head of Business AI for the Nordics and Baltics at SAP. Throughout this role, he catalyses the adoption of innovative AI solutions that aim to change operations for global enterprises.
Over his career, David has acquired over a decade of experience in leadership, technology and strategy, merging his comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies with transformational expertise. He has held leadership roles in both corporate and management consulting roles.
David gained an M.Sc. from Yale University and the University of Copenhagen and is working on earning an Executive MBA that concentrates on the Future of Finance at Copenhagen Business School.
Lissele Pratt, Co-Founder & Chief Growth Officer at Capitalixe
Throughout her career, Lissele Pratt has gained over nine years of industry experience and is now the Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of a fintech consultancy company that focuses on cutting-edge financial technology- Capitalixe.
In just three years, Lissele was able to scale Capitalixe to a seven- figure consultancy. Because of her impressive work, she has been able to develop a reputation for enabling global companies to access innovative financial services.
Lissele has received several notable achievements, including being named on Forbes 30 Under 30 Finance in 2021, TechRound’s 29 Under 29 in 2022, being honoured as Rising Star of the Year at the UK Fintech Awards, being featured on Women in Fintech Powerlist, highlighted as one of Brummell Magazine’s 2023 Ones to Watch and named Fintech Businesswomen of the year for 2024.
Vladislavs Mironovs, Chief Strategy Officer at Citadele Bank
Vladislavs Mironovs is the Chief Strategy Officer at Citadele Bank.
He is responsible for the development of the Citadele Group’s products and services, the business strategy implementation of the company, as well as its digital evolution.
His career began at Citadele Group in July 2015, when he became the Head of Strategic projects.
Before joining the company, Vladislavs held various positions in GE Capital, where he worked across the United States and Europe.
He also gained an Executive MBA from studying at Riga Business School.
Roberto Bruggermann, Co- founder and CTO at Lune
Roberto Bruggermann leads Lune’s technical strategy and customer-focused innovation, as their Co-founder and CTO.
Throughout his career, Roberto has been a principal software engineer at the investment platform, Freetrade and was also responsible for developing Bloomberg’s first carbon offsetting exchange.
Roberto is passionate about using software to create impactful business value creation and aims to ensure that every product is climate-positive by default through his work, ensuring push embedded climate action as the next finance frontier.
Raquel Orejas, Impact Director at Payhawk
Raquel Orejas is the Impact Director at Payhawk.
In her role at Payhwak, she has managed many go-to-market strategies and driven the company’s ESG efforts since its inception.
Throughout Raquel’s career she has acquired a vast abundance of experience as a versatile leader in fintech, climate change and sustainable development.
Before joining Payhawk, Raquel worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C. in their Climate Change and Agriculture Unit.
She's also helped implement development projects that focused on impactful and sustainable growth across Latin America and Africa with a number of NGOs.
Bernhard Schweizer, Head of SAP Digital Currency Hub
Bernhard’s career at SAP has spanned over 30 years. Throughout this time, he has led SAP’s efforts to facilitate payments with digital currencies and worked alongside others to help manage the go-to-market activities of SAP IoT.
Bernhard has created an internal start-up that connects patients and doctors through a digital healthcare solution that utilises medical sensor data. This solution is designed to improve care outcomes for chronic diseases.
Now, Bernhard is the Head of SAP Digital Currency Hub and aims to help SMEs thrive in an increasingly digital world.
In addition to this, Bernhard is active in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region as a Board Member of Lichtblick e.V.
Cornee Boorsma, Ecosystem Director for GROW with SAP for Scaleups, EMEA
Cornee Boorsma is the Ecosystem Director for GROW with SAP for Scaleups, EMEA. Through his role, he uses his strong technical skills and expertise in SAP technologies to produce impactful business solutions and outcomes for scaleups. Cornee consistently applies his hands-on mentality and creative mindset to help scaleups in their growth journey and transform challenges into opportunities.
Over the course of his career, Cornee has developed a diverse background in Logistics, Finance and business applications that helps support these complex processes.
Ollie Carew, Director of FinTech at EY
With over nine years of experience in the UK Fintech sector as a business development manager, analyst and regulator, Ollie Carew is a specialist in CBDCs, digital assets and crypto assets. He is now the Director of Fintech at EY.
During his role, Ollie has led projects like the UK Regulated Liability Network (RLN) by focusing on innovation, strategy and regulation consulting across EMEIA.
Before joining EY, Ollie delivered several digital regulation initiatives and was a Senior FinTech Specialist at the Bank of England.
He also holds a BA and MRes from the University of Birmingham.
James Tromans, Head of Web3 at Google Cloud
Throughout his career, James Tromans has developed a diverse range of experience across several industries and is now the current Managing Director of Google Cloud’s Web3 efforts.
Before acquiring his current role, James was a member of the CTO office at Google and specialised in data engineering and machine learning technical disciplines.
Prior to joining Google, James held several front-office currency trading and technology leadership roles in capital markets at Citi. In addition to this, he also worked across many different industries as a technologist.
James started the first regulated (UKGC) business on a public cloud platform and was a Fintech co-founder.
Gabriel Le Roux, Co-Founder and CEO of Primer
With over a decade of experience in the payments industry, Gabriel Le Roux is the Co-Founder and CEO of Primer. The company provides the world’s first Unified payment infrastructure to clients such as Maison du Monde, New Look and GetYourGuide. Primer has a global reach, operating across the US, UK, EU and APAC and is supported by some of the world’s leading investors, like Accel, Balderton, Tencent and Iconiq Growth.
Before founding Primer, Gabriel focused on building commerce infrastructure tools during his role as the Product Owner for a new strategic division based in San Francisco.
Jackie Kingham, Director of Business Transformation UK at Raisin
Jackie Kingham is the Director of Business Transformation UK at Raisin. During this role, she leads the relationship with the company’s service bank, ClearBank, across outsourced controls, operational activities and commercials.
Jackie also leads the development and enhancement of the financial crime risk management framework as she manages the 1st Line AML Operations team within Raisin.
Louise Beaumont, Open Banking & Open Finance Global Industry & Policy Engagement at Mastercard
Louise Beaumont leads Mastercard’s efforts to craft an ecosystem that supports incumbents and innovations to deliver Open Data, Open Banking and Open Finance’s full potential as the company’s SVP for Global Open Banking & Open Finance Engagement.
During her role, Louise harnesses the power of consumer-permissioned data for the ultimate benefit of businesses, governments, consumers and economies and societies that the financial ecosystem comprises.
Tomasz Marusiak is the Data Engineer at Fairstone Group. During this role, he trains models that deliver analytics insights for Fairstone Group’s clients and businesses, whilst also working on the integration, ingestion and processing of data from various sources.
Tomasz carried out his machine-learning trading algorithm that returned over 276% last year. Throughout his work, his passion for AI and its application to quantitive finance and wealth management is evident.
He graduated from Newcastle University as a Data Science with Statistics student and is a Finance and Investment Management Graduate from Northumbria University.
In addition to this, Tomasz also holds Microsoft’s DP-900 and DP-203 Azure Data Engineer certifications.
For over 20 years, Musidora Jorgensen has led growth and leading teams within the IT industry and is now the Chief Impact Officer at World Wide Generation.
During her career, Musidora has worked for some of the largest telecoms and tech firms across the world, including Oracle, HP, Salesforce and Microsoft.
Musidora is a passionate businesswoman and aims to ensure that businesses can be a force for good. Throughout her work, she drives for kindness, inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
At Microsoft, she was responsible for crafting sustainable outcomes for Microsoft partners and customers, as their Chief Sustainability Officer.
Musidora spent three years at Salesforce as area VP and head of UK Energy & Utilities. During her time at the company, she delivered double-digit growth by leading the firm’s energy and utilities business in the UK across enterprise and commercial markets. Musidora allowed customers to digitally transform their business and obtain a detailed insight into their own customers.
Before joining Salesforce, Musidora led sales into the Telco, Media & Utilities industries for human capital management at Oracle and had sales leadership roles in the company’s consulting division, leading both the commercial and public sectors in the UK.
Musidora was featured as one of Computer Weekly’s 2023 Top 50 of the UK’s most influential women in technology and was also named in the Top 100 Global Sustainability Leaders in 2022, Yahoo Finance HERoes Top 100 Female Future Leaders in 2020, Top 100 Women in Sustainability in 2023 and one of the 50 Leading Lights for UK Kindness and Leadership in 2020.
Daniel Crow is the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Fairstone Group.
With over a decade of experience in finance, Daniel is known for his comprehensive expertise in financial management as a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), qualified professional.
Throughout his work, Daniel enhances growth across a span of industries, drives financial excellence and guides many organisations to achieve sustained success. He continues to translate detailed financial data into actionable insights for many organisations and can effectively evaluate financial structures.
Daniel possesses a wide range of skills, such as budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, financial modelling and system implementation.
Tom Burton is the Director of External Affairs & Public Policy at GoCardless. During his role, Tom ensures the organisation is working with key external stakeholders that will allow GoCardless to positively impact the regulatory environment and policy. In addition to this, he also leads the organisation’s work in analysing external engagement and policy issues.
For over a decade, Tom has specialised in public affairs within finance and banking. Throughout his career, Tom has held roles at Barclays, as its Vice President of Government Relations and at Klarna, as its Head of Public Policy and Strategy.
