Deloitte’s Schenkels on his role & Converge Prosperity

FinTech Magazine speaks to Deloitte Partner Bart Jan Schenkels about his role in IT strategy, transformation, and innovation. 

As Schenkels puts it: “My role consists of three things. Firstly I help clients transform and grow to appreciate the positives that digital transformation brings and help them improve their competitiveness. 

“Supporting that, I lead a cloud team across Europe. We bring fintech engineers to these programmes, and I’m also part of Deloitte’s global Converge Prosperity, where we help build solutions to transform businesses.”

Expanding on his role with Converge Prosperity, Schenkels says it comes as part of a wider digital transformation at Deloitte. Over the past two years the company has been growing its converge strategy across financial services. 

He details the vision of Converge Prosperity, that clients need assets where Deloitte’s functional and advisory expertise is captured, to help businesses transform at a faster rate.
