An expert in finance 

James Murnieks, CFO of Siemens Great Britain & Ireland, brings more than 20 years of experience in finance.

Having held CFO roles across France, Germany and the UK, he offers a strong perspective on the role of leadership in shaping financial strategy.

His background includes driving business transformation, cultivating high-performance cultures and delivering sustained, profitable growth.

Originally trained as an engineer at the University of Manchester, James transitioned into finance, beginning his career at PwC where he qualified as a financial auditor.

He joined Siemens in 2004 within the UK&I Internal Audit team, later moving into a finance role in Siemens IT Solutions.

Most recently, he served as CFO for Region Europe within Siemens’ Financial Services Commercial Finance business unit.

In early 2022, James was appointed CFO of Siemens UK&I and Head of Finance for Siemens Smart Infrastructure UK&I.
