Revolut Business introduces GlobalHire
Global neobank titan Revolut announces the launch of its Employer of Record services to enable UK-based businesses to retain international talent

Revolut Business has expanded its ecosystem with the launch of GlobalHire – an all-in-one platform designed to dismantle the barriers of international expansion.

By integrating Employer of Record (EoR) services directly into its business banking stack, the licensed bank is enabling its UK-based customers to hire, onboard and pay global talent without the traditional administrative friction.

Solving the currency hurdle

For many scaling businesses, the dream of a global workforce is often tempered by what Revolut describes as a “hidden growth tax”. Legacy EoR providers frequently charge up to 5% in hidden currency fees when processing international payroll.

GlobalHire addresses this by using competitive interbank rates – within plan allowances and market hours – alongside Revolut's signature FX capabilities.

By streamlining payroll within the existing account infrastructure, the platform aims to save businesses thousands of pounds. This move positions Revolut not just as a repository for capital, but as a primary tool for operational growth.

Navigating regulatory complexity

Beyond the financial costs, the administrative weight of local tax and compliance remains a major deterrent for firms looking abroad. A recent independent survey by Revolut Business revealed that 27% of UK businesses feel held back by the complexity of local regulatory compliance.

GlobalHire bridges this gap by allowing firms to avoid the costly and time-consuming process of establishing local entities. Instead, the platform automates taxes and payroll within a single interface, ensuring that compliance is a background process rather than a roadblock.

Alex Codina, General Manager of Merchant Payments and GlobalHire at Revolut, comments: “A business’s ambition shouldn’t be limited by where it is headquartered, nor by local currency barriers.

“GlobalHire goes beyond recruitment; it’s a strategic asset in a business’ arsenal to fuel borderless growth. It’s designed to remove administrative friction to hiring for talent obsessed, global firms, while ensuring CFOs maintain control over capital and compliance.”

Democratising hypergrowth

The launch is a calculated step in Revolut’s broader mission to provide smaller firms with the same scaling capabilities used by global giants. Alex adds: “We want businesses globally to have access to the same resources to fuel hyper-growth as Revolut did. Launching GlobalHire is a major milestone in our mission to democratise access to global talent, ensuring that the best companies can hire the best talent, regardless of geography.”

GlobalHire represents the latest “new bet” from the fintech, which has shown a consistent ability to incubate product lines that challenge traditional banking boundaries. Revolut now tracks 11 different product lines that each generate over £100m (US$135.6m) in revenue.

This momentum follows a landmark period for the division. Revolut Business now serves nearly 800,000 global businesses and surpassed £277bn (US$365bn) in transaction volumes in 2025. By embedding HR and payroll services into its financial core, Revolut is further entrenching itself as a comprehensive operating system for modern enterprise.
