Salesforce: Transforming the Tech Landscape with Agentforce

So far, the summer of 2025 has belonged to Salesforce.
Since introducing its flagship AI solution Agentforce, the cloud-based leader has launched a far-reaching marketing initiative that spans the globe.
The Agentforce World Tour - a campaign with a scope rivaling even the likes of Taylor Swift's tours - has elevated the profile of Salesforce’s pioneering offering.
This is not merely a tool for automating tasks, but a sophisticated AI platform that enhances workforce efficiency and customer relationship management.
Having already visited all five continents, the tour continues to spread awareness of this innovation. A show of confidence from Salesforce, where Marc Benioff and his team are keen to amplify its message.
“This isn’t just hype,” according to Salesforce’s CEO. “This is real technology that can lower your costs, make things easier and deliver the vision of digital labour to you and your company – now.”
The recent event at London’s ExCel was another testament to the increasing interest from the business world. Demonstrations led by UK&I CEO Zahra Bahrololoumi and SVP of Solutions Engineering Paul O’Sullivan illustrated the transformative capabilities of Agentforce before an audience of 12,000.
After the presentation, Paul O’Sullivan shared insights into why Agentforce stands at the crux of what he terms “the most exciting time” in his career.
A Path from Prediction to Action
Paul O'Sullivan's zeal for Agentforce finds its roots in a journey of persistent development. Salesforce's engagement with AI started earlier than many anticipate, back in 2014.
Establishing an ethics council to ensure responsible AI use was a foundational step for the company. “We kind of saw this was coming,” states Paul. “The real focus was actually...let's reflect on our core values, and our number one core value is trust.”
Following this, Salesforce introduced Einstein in 2016, a predictive AI model to forecast outcomes. The bigger evolution arrived in September 2023 when Salesforce identified its R&D achievement reaching beyond text creation.
Paul reflects: “We're sitting on a platform that has a tonne of capability that enables our customers to manage their workflows." Integrating their existing platform with AI led to a pivotal innovation, a system Paul details as "this ability to trigger actions"—the company's first truly agentic AI.
The Concept of a Limitless Workforce
Where, then, are the bounds for Agentforce? The potential extends beyond mere automation. Paul envisions businesses embracing “a world of a limitless workforce,” where the prowess of a company's finest talents is replicated across numerous AI agents operating incessantly.
In traditional work settings, Paul mentions, "When you find one of these fantastic people, you tend to gravitate towards them." However, Agentforce is revolutionising this process, enabling companies to amplify the expertise of qualified individuals throughout various AI bots.
The tour vividly demonstrates real-world applications, with organisations like Heathrow and Capita sharing their experiences and aspirations for Agentforce. Paul observes, "If you are employing people and you have a workforce, you can benefit from it,” articulating the software's extensive adaptability.
Participating in the Agentforce Initiative
For firms eager to embrace Agentforce, Paul stresses active engagement. "The biggest thing in all of this is just give it a go," he advises. "Break that barrier of, ‘I’m not sure, I feel a bit uneasy, it’s something new.’”
He stresses learning from both victories and setbacks, noting that agents can become operative within two weeks but require consistent upgrades. The promise isn’t for flawless implementation from the start but instead underscores the vital role of continuous adaptation.
"We need to iterate on our agents because we'll always be going through a fine-tuning process of making sure that we've got the right guardrails, the right controls," Paul adds.
Empowering Creative Potential
Addressing concerns that AI might displace human creativity, Paul offers a hopeful outlook. Rather than posing a threat, he describes AI as a tool for liberation. "I actually think scriptwriters and journalists will be the best prompt writers of the future," he proposes, due to their affinity for vivid description that pairs well with AI interfaces.
Agentforce aims to unleash more human creativity by automating mundane, time-intensive tasks, enabling workers to engage in more inventive endeavors. "I think we all are looking for more time in our day to do some of these creative recreational types of activities," concludes Paul.
Exploring the Future of Agentforce
While some specifics of what lies ahead remain undefined, Paul’s optimism is evident. "I think the possibilities are only limited by our lack of creative thinking," he reflects, anticipating innovations from medical breakthroughs to advancements in space research.
The conjunction of AI with technologies like quantum computing could further enhance development. Paul envisions, "This whole next thing is going to be a rocket ship with a combination of quantum plus what we've seen with large language models."
"We can absolutely redefine and reimagine the world that we live in with this technology right now," Paul vows. "This next five years will not slow down. The train is about to depart and we need to be on it together."
