Citi Wealth Rolls out AI Tools for Advisers and Client Teams

Citi Wealth has deployed two artificial intelligence platforms designed to accelerate client communications and streamline adviser workflows across its global operations.
The bank's Data, Analytics & Innovation team has launched Advisor Insights, a dashboard system that delivers market commentary, portfolio updates and event notifications to wealth management staff. The platform draws content from Citi Wealth's Chief Investment Office research division.
AskWealth operates as a conversational assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence. The system provides instant responses to queries from service teams, advisers and managers across the wealth management division's operations.
Pilot programme targets North American clients
Advisor Insights is currently operating in pilot mode with advisers serving Citigold and Citi Private Client customers in North America.
The bank plans to extend access to North America Private Bankers during the fourth quarter of 2025, with international colleagues gaining access in the first quarter of 2026.
AskWealth has completed deployment across Citi Wealth's global operations. Service teams use the platform to handle client enquiries whilst advisers access market research and portfolio analysis tools.
The platforms represent Citi's latest investment in technology infrastructure for its wealth management operations. The bank has positioned artificial intelligence as central to its strategy for competing with rival wealth managers and private banks.
Technology aims to reduce adviser workload
Joe Bonanno, Head of Data, Analytics & Innovation at Citi Wealth, describes the platforms as steps towards expanding the division's technological capabilities.
โThese platforms will save hours of time for our advisors, bankers and service teams while reinforcing for clients the personal and high-touch experience that is a tradition at our firm,โ Joe says.
The Advisor Insights system targets the time advisers spend researching market developments and preparing client communications.
The platform automates the delivery of market commentary and portfolio alerts, allowing advisers to focus on client relationships rather than information gathering.
AskWealth addresses operational queries that typically require manual research across multiple systems.
The platform accesses Citi Wealth's internal databases and research repositories to provide immediate responses to adviser questions about client accounts, market conditions and investment products.
“These new AI-powered tools are gamechangers for Citi Wealth. They give our advisors sharper insights, streamline how we work, and open new possibilities for serving clients with speed and precision”
Platform development and industry context
Citi Wealth tested both platforms in Asia before expanding access to other regions. The bank used the pilot phase to refine the systems' performance and gather feedback from advisers and service teams.
The technology builds on Citi's broader artificial intelligence initiatives across its institutional and consumer banking operations. The bank has invested in machine learning capabilities for credit risk assessment, fraud detection and customer service automation.
Wealth management divisions across the financial services sector have accelerated the adoption of artificial intelligence tools. Morgan Stanley, UBS and Goldman Sachs have deployed similar platforms to support adviser productivity and client communication.
Andy Sieg, Head of Wealth at Citi, credits the division's technology teams with developing the platforms.
“These new AI-powered tools are gamechangers for Citi Wealth. They give our advisors sharper insights, streamline how we work, and open new possibilities for serving clients with speed and precision,” Sieg says.
