Tony Bowers: Leading Information Technology & Transformation
Principal and US Lead for Finance Transformation in the Insurance Sector
Now Financial Services Principal at PwC, Tony Bowers has curated an extensive career with a background in insurance, banking, and financial system architecture.
Using these skills, Bowers leads and supports technology driven financial transformation initiatives at PwC, helping drive change management execution, controls evaluation and architecture evaluation and design, among other areas.
Taking up a role as a Finance Analyst in his early career at Heidrick, where he was responsible for the implementation and support of software programme PeopleSoft 7.5 GL, AP, AR, BI, project costing and expenses, Bowers soon found himself in a management role at BearingPoint.
Here, he nurtured his relationship with Oracle, as well as continued correspondence with PeopleSoft, leveraging these technology collaborations to run financial transformation programmes for BearingPoint’s Financial Services clients.
After five years, Bowers then took a Senior Management position at Deloitte within the enterprise applications area, once again focusing on PeopleSoft/Oracle solutions for clients in the Financial Services/Insurance Industry.
He then moved to HCL AXON, where he became Finance Solutions Director for Global Oracle Practice, further entrenching his association with the technology company he continues to work with to this day.
Bowers has now been at PwC for over 11 years, and took up his most recent position as a Partner in 2018.
