Emirates NBD: banking through Amazon Alexa
This week, Dubai government-owned bank, Emirates NBD, announced it will launch voice banking services via Amazon Alexa.
The announcement came as a continuation of the bank’s ongoing efforts to lead digital innovation in the MENA region. It was confirmed that, Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), customers of Emirates NBD will be able to access news services such as asking for account and credit card balances, details of recent transactions made, current investment summaries and global market updates from the bank’s Chief Investment Officer.
These services will be available to access through Amazon Alexa smart speakers at home or on the go via the Amazon Alexa App.
In addition to the day to day banking services, customers will be able to obtain information relating to new products and how to sign up to them, as well as other general programmes and initiatives the bank is involved with.
Better Together through innovation
The new voice banking has been co-created with its customers via the bank’s ‘Better Together’ programme where patrons were selected to assist with the development and testing of beta innovations.
