Tim Cook: Apple CEO and Innovative Leader
Tim Cook was born in Alabama. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1982 and later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in 1988.

Tim joined Apple in 1998 as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Operations.
He was responsible for streamlining the company's supply chain and improving operational efficiency. In August 2011, following Steve Jobs' resignation, Tim was appointed CEO.
Under his leadership, Apple has expanded its product line and services, including the introduction of Apple Pay in 2014 a mobile payment and digital wallet service that allows users to make payments using Apple devices.
It utilises Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable contactless payments. Over the past decade, Apple Pay has become widely adopted, allowing users to make secure transactions across various platforms and devices.
In 2024, Apple announced plans to open NFC technology to third-party developers with the release of iOS 18.1. This move aims to expand the functionality of Apple devices in contactless payments and other applications, potentially transforming how users interact with digital wallets and payment systems.
Tim Cook's tenure as CEO has been marked by significant innovation and expansion, with services like Apple Pay playing a crucial role in the company's ecosystem.
His strategic decisions continue to shape Apple's trajectory in the technology and financial sectors.
