Sage Introduces AI-Driven Finance Tools for Intacct Platform

Sage, a provider of accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, has unveiled enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities and industry-specific features for its Sage Intacct financial management platform.
The updates focus on automating financial processes, reducing manual reconciliation work, and streamlining workflows for contract management, fundraising and project accounting.
The release responds to increasing pressure on finance departments to improve performance while working with limited resources.
New tools include AI-assisted month-end closing processes and automated subledger reconciliation, designed to accelerate financial workflows.
AI automation targets month-end bottlenecks
The Copilot Close Assistant, now generally available in the US and UK, provides finance teams with centralised visibility into month-end close processes.
The tool tracks progress across subledgers and general ledgers, offering real-time status updates on critical tasks.
A companion tool, the Copilot Subledger Reconciliation Assistant, currently in early adopter phase in the UK and US, automates reconciliation reporting by highlighting variances and providing detailed insights to help finance teams quickly identify and resolve discrepancies.
“Every finance leader I speak to feels the pressure to perform at pace,” says Dan Miller, Executive Vice President of the Financials and ERP Division at Sage.
“With these latest enhancements, we are saving them time, and giving them greater visibility for data driven decisions, driving future growth and creating high performing teams.”
Industry-specific features target vertical markets
The release introduces several vertical market solutions designed for sectors with specialised financial requirements.
For non-profit organisations, Sage has launched Intacct Fundraising powered by DonorPerfect, now generally available in the US and Canada.
The solution connects donor management systems with financial reporting, enabling non-profits to optimise fundraising strategies.
According to Sage, organisations using the solution have reported a 25% increase in funds raised during their first year of implementation.
Healthcare providers gain access to EMRConnect Dashboards, available exclusively in the US market. These dashboards combine operational and financial data to provide insights on metrics such as clinician efficiency and facility occupancy rates.
For arts and cultural organisations, a new Tessitura Ticketing Connector integrates box office operations with financial systems, eliminating manual data entry between ticketing and accounting platforms.
Professional service firms benefit from Automated Work in Progress (WIP) Relief functionality, which automatically adjusts WIP balances when projects are completed.
This feature, available across the US, UK, Canada, South Africa, and Australia, aligns project costs with revenue recognition to reduce financial statement errors.
A new Contract Summary Tab, available in the same markets, consolidates contract information in a single view, providing visibility into billing, purchasing and project details.
“With these latest enhancements, we are saving them time, and giving them greater visibility for data driven decisions, driving future growth and creating high performing teams”
Geographical expansion continues
Sage continues its international expansion with the addition of Goods and Services Tax support for businesses operating in New Zealand and Singapore.
The feature, currently in early adopter phase, automates GST configuration to maintain compliance with local tax regulations.
The updates align with findings from Sage's research report, “The Secrets of Successful CFOs,” which found that 69% of chief financial officers believe they have too many responsibilities and 87% regularly experience work-related stress.
The report also revealed that 51% of CFOs have already implemented AI-powered tools designed for financial workflows.
According to the company, the enhancements deliver automated capabilities that support finance teams by reducing friction in key processes, streamlining closing procedures, and providing leaders with clearer visibility into financial data.
