BR-DGE, the breakthrough payment orchestration provider, has announced the appointment of Chun Ong as Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant step in the company's rapid scaling phase. The appointment comes as BR-DGE experiences unprecedented demand for its pioneering and modular services, now processing millions of transactions monthly for high-volume customers across travel, ecommerce, gaming and other sectors.
Chun brings diverse expertise from his background in banking law and strategy consulting, coupled with significant fintech experience. His career includes senior positions at leading digital remittance company WorldRemit, digital mortgage company Molo Finance and MENA-focused open banking company Tarabut, where he demonstrated prowess in helping fintechs scale and adapt to market demands.
In his new role, Chun will focus on scaling operations and enhancing cross-functional collaboration, overseeing customer success, customer support, implementation and data functions. This appointment aligns with BR-DGE's impressive trajectory, following a record-breaking 600% revenue growth in 2023 and recent expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
Thomas Gillan, CEO of BR-DGE, highlighted Chun's exceptional leadership capabilities and experience in helping fintechs scale while maintaining service quality. Chun's appointment comes as BR-DGE continues to strengthen its position as a vendor-agnostic partner in the payments ecosystem, bringing together more than 400 payment technology solutions.
