1. Fernando Rivas 

Job From: Head of North American Investment Banking, JPMorgan

Job To: SEVP & Co-CEO of Corporate and Investment Banking, Wells Fargo

Fernando Rivas, SEVP & Co-CEO of Corporate and Investment Banking, Wells Fargo

 “I am excited to partner with Charlie, Jon and the CIB leadership team to build on the strong momentum in the business” - Fernando Rivas 

Fernando Rivas has been named SEVP and Co-CEO of Corporate and Investment Banking at Wells Fargo. In his new role, Fernando will form part of the company’s Operating Committee, leading this arm of Wells Fargo alongside Jon Weiss. 

Joining from JPMorgan, where he spent almost 30 years of his career, Fernando has extensive experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as JPMorgan’s Head of North American Investment Banking.

Now at Wells Fargo, Fernando is excited to “deliver the excellence and humanity that are the cornerstones of an exceptional financial services business”.

2. Oliver Jerome 

Job From: CEO, Co-founder, BestX

Job To: Head of European FX Division, Deutsche Bank

CEO and Co-founder of BestX, Oliver Jerome, has been appointed Head of the European FX Division at Deutsche Bank. Oliver’s appointment comes as Deutsche looks to boost its forex desks. Prior to leading BestX, Oliver held senior positions at leading financial firms including Morgan Stanley.

3. Robert Kaplan 

Job From: President & CEO of Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

Job To: Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs has appointed Robert Kaplan as its new Vice Chairman in a move to add an influential policymaker to its management committee and Goldman alumni. Formerly the President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Robert will give strategic advice to the bank’s clients.

4. Stephen Pick

Job From: Managing Director for EMEA M&A, Credit Suisse

Job To: Head of Mergers & Acquisitions EMEA, Barclays

Stephen Pick has been named Barclays’ new Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. In his new role, Stephen will head the division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), succeeding Pier Luigi Colizzi who is now Barclays’s Chairman of M&A for the region.
