Money20/20 USA: Investing smarter with Twentyfold

We speak to Money20/20 representative William Mellis about the launch of Twentyfold, a new DaaS platform bringing fintechs and investors together

In attendance at Money20/20 USA, held in Las Vegas from October 22-25, FinTech Magazine caught up with Money20/20 representative William Mellis on the launch of the Twentyfold, a new data-as-a-service platform designed to help leaders in fintech discover new investment and partnership opportunities.

Twentyfold: A fintech investment community

As one of the chief orchestrators behind the launch of Twentyfold, which debuted live at Money20/20 USA on Sunday 22nd October 2023, Mellis runs us through how the new investment platform will help bring fintech startups closer to investors.

“Twentyfold is perhaps the widest and deepest repository of fintechs on the market,” says Mellis. “It holds 80,000 fintech profiles globally – everything from pre-seed all the way through to IPO.

“We overlay these profiles with the people involved in fintech companies, CEOs, founders, c-suite executives, etc., and then overlay that with investors. This can help pair the right fintech with the right type of investor.

“When times are tough, you have to work smarter. So I see this as helping the industry to be smarter about where it places its bets, whether you're an investor or you're a partner.

“It cuts down deal time too, improving efficiency, and ultimately transforming how the ecosystem is going to understand itself.”

Having just launched, Twentyfold remains in the beta stage, but less than 48 hours after launch, the platform signed its first contract.

Indeed, this bodes well for the future promise of Twentyfold, which Mellis hails as “lightning-speed progress for a subscription model to go from demo one day to signature the next.”
