Billie Becomes First B2B BNPL on Stripe’s EU Platform
The business-to-business (B2B) payments provider Billie has integrated with Stripe, making its B2B Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services available on Stripe’s platform in Europe.
This new service is the first of its kind available on Stripe’s European platform.
Billie’s integration with Stripe means online shops and marketplaces running on Stripe’s platform can now offer Billie’s B2B BNPL payment method to their business customers.
The B2B fintech says its integration with Stripe is seamless, and the activation of Billie’s services can be achieved in just a few steps.
Billie: Achieving growth through Stripe integration
Having its services available on the market’s leading fintech platform is a great deal for Billie, which can now put its services in the hands of more businesses.
Billie is already available on Stripe in leading European nations like Germany, France, and the Netherlands, where online shops and marketplaces will be able to test the payments solution.
Later on this year, any business running on Stripe’s financial infrastructure platform will be able to easily offer Billie’s BNPL payment method to their business customers.
Exploring Billie’s B2B BNPL solution
Billie’s BNPL payments solution for businesses allows its business customers to make purchases and defer payments for up to 30 days.
At the same time, merchants receiving payments will not face any delays in receiving their funds – meaning Billie’s tool does not impact cash flow for both merchant and business buyers.
This is made possible with real-time approval of buyers at checkout while providing default and fraud risk protection for merchants.
Stripe’s B2B customers can now offer their business customers flexible payment terms while reducing credit risk and the administrative burden of collection and dunning processes to zero.
Stripe's commitment to the partnership highlights its promise to deliver customers with ongoing access to the latest payment innovations.
Mauro Miotto, VP of Partnerships at Billie, says: “We are excited to offer Stripe merchants easy access to one of the most sought-after payment methods in B2B commerce: pay later by invoice.
“Our partnership will enable thousands of merchants across Europe to grow their customer base, modernise their B2B payment systems, and expand into new markets without facing the risks of payment default or fraud.”
Billie’s partnership with Stripe comes on the back of strong growth. In June this year, its total unique business customers reached 500,000 served at more than 3,500 shops and marketplaces throughout Europe. Leading brands among these clients include Alibaba and Samsung.
Its partnership with Stripe follows several other high-profile collaborations this year. In June, it partnered with BNP Paribas to expand its BNPL services, and in February it partnered with Adyen.
Stripe laid out its commitment to launch new innovative products for sustained growth at Stripe Tour London this year.
At the event, its President and Co-founder, John Collison, said: "Among startups, we’re thrilled to power leading AI companies, including OpenAI, Mistral, Perplexity and Anthropic.
"And at the other end of the continuum, we’ve seen substantial growth in our enterprise segment. We’re partnering with leading UK companies such as Octopus Energy, ITV, Hargreaves Lansdown and Nando’s. And they’re joined by lots of global enterprises who are building on Stripe like Amazon, Hertz and Maersk.
“Stripe only grows when all of you grow.”
Following the integration of Billie, Stripe can help its clients grow all the more easily.
