Ekta Singh, Head of Financial Crime Compliance, APAC, Singapore at Rapyd
Ekta Singh brings her wealth of knowledge and awareness of compliance, business management, ethics and technological advancements in the fintech and regtech areas to her role as Head of Financial Crime Compliance, MLRO at Rapyd.
Throughout her career, Ekta has worked in the financial industry for more than a decade and has held several roles, including Supervisor, Sales Management, Financial Advisor, Risk & Compliance Head and Business Head.
She is a member of Regtech at Singapore Fintech Association, active working group member of ACCESS, Trainer at RHT academy and Ambassador for the Singapore Fintech festival & GBBC.
Ekta also volunteers as a mentor at iLead program and stories of Asia (SOA).

What inspired you to get involved in FinTech LIVE Singapore?
I'm deeply passionate about fostering a robust and innovative FinTech ecosystem, particularly here in Singapore, a leading global financial hub.
FinTech LIVE Singapore provides an invaluable platform to connect with fellow industry leaders, regulators and innovators, share best practices and collectively address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
As someone passionate about financial compliance, I believe it's crucial to contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding regulatory compliance, security and sustainable growth within the FinTech landscape.
This event offers a unique opportunity to learn from others, share my expertise and contribute to shaping the future of finance.
Furthermore, engaging with the vibrant FinTech community at FinTech LIVE Singapore allows me to stay at the forefront of industry developments and ensure our company remains compliant and innovative.

My panel discussion is on "FinTech Strategies" where I will delve into the key strategic considerations for FinTech companies in today's rapidly evolving environment. I will explore topics such as:

What do you hope to achieve through FinTech LIVE Singapore?
My primary goal is to contribute to a rich and insightful discussion on FinTech strategies.
I hope to share practical insights and best practices that attendees can implement within their organisations to drive growth and success.
I'm also keen to learn from the experiences and perspectives of other panelists and audience members.
What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of the fintech industry over the next decade?
I personally think that there are a few trends that will shape Fintech industry.
For example, AI will drive highly personalised financial products and services, creating a competitive advantage for FinTech companies that effectively leverage this technology.
Secondly, FinTech strategies will increasingly focus on integrating financial services into non-financial platforms, creating seamless customer experiences and expanding market reach.
There will be a focus on Sustainability and ESG, attracting investors and customers who prioritise sustainability.
Thirdly, strategies that facilitate seamless and cost-effective cross-border payments will be crucial in an increasingly globalised world.
Building and maintaining trust through robust cybersecurity measures will be a critical differentiator for FinTech companies.
Finally, FinTech strategies will need to consider the implications of the metaverse and Web3, exploring new opportunities for financial services within these emerging virtual worlds.
